Creativity: The Key To Getting More Done In Less Time
Creativity: The Key To Getting More Done In Less Time
by Avish Parashar
If your to-do list seems as long at the end of the day as it did at the start (or worse yet, longer!) then you could definitely use an injection of creativity in your work day.
Here are five simple ways of using your creativity to improve
the quality of your day:
1) Stop banging your head against the wall -- A good chunk of the time people waste in a day is due to stressing over the same problems that face them day after day. saturnautomobiles, industrialhoist, adoptionchildrussia. When you have a problem
that you don't know how to solve, you get paralyzed, get
inefficient, and get overwhelmed. womenssuedejacket, veterinaryclinics, italianlira. Not only do you not solve the problem, but you also start to slack off in other areas. phideltatheta, indianapoliscondominium, pisscum. The key is to get out of that state by using your creativity to generate more solutions to your problem. porcelainwholesale, retirementcards. Here's one way -- sit down at a table with a blank sheet of paper. potatopancakes, baggingpartner. Write your problem across the top, and then force yourself to fill the page with possible
solutions. rialtotower, automotiveinternetleads, johndeerepart. Don't worry about how feasible or crazy your ideas
are; you will be tapping your creativity and empowering
yourself. plasticplayhouses. Just keep the pen moving until you fill the page. engineeringtool, chapice. This will free you from overwhelm and let you go about your day. darrendaulton, wholesalenursery, canadapharmacy.
Also, the new solution to your problem may very well be on that page!
2) Stop wasting time -- If you have been at your job for any period of time, you probably have a routine. plaintifflawyersstamford, tropicalsmoothie. Routines are great because they are safe, but once in a routine you run the risk of missing out on ways of doing it better. austintxacreage, onlinetranscriptionjobs. The worst answer you can give about why you do something is to say, 'that's the way I've always done it.' Keep your mind, eyes, and ears open for new and more efficient ways of doing things. hurricanecandleholders. Even if you can save 15
minutes on 4 daily tasks, that's one extra hour every day. juventusjersey.
Question and examine your routines!
3) Love your job, even if you hate it -- It's extremely
difficult to be productive if you are unhappy. americawholesalelender. This leads to an ugly cycle: you don't like your job, so you are less efficient, so work piles up which adds stress, so you like your job even less, and so on and so on. guitarlotus, flooringlaminatelaying. If, for whatever reason, you choose
to stay at a job you hate, then at least find ways of enjoying it. bridaledengown, cheapscrubset, cardeduction. How does one do this? I don't know; it depends on you. airintake, rockportperth, outdoorplanthangers. This is why you have to use your creativity. pureologyshampoo, bagpipeplay. You can listen to music, or set up your environment you enjoy, or work on a special
project that fulfills you, etc. peterpansoundtrack. Life is too short to be unhappy for 1/3 of it; use your creativity to bring happiness, fulfillment, and joy into your day.
4) Get someone else to do it -- Here's an interesting fact: for every task you hate to do and are not good at doing, there's
someone else out there who enjoys doing it. vclmediaplayer. And, for every task you love to do and are great at, there's somebody out there who hates doing it. fablewalkthroughs. Find someone who hates doing what you love and
loves doing what you hate, and you both can benefit immensely. designfirmboston, vanhausen, annaquindlen.
You'll both get more done in less time and be happier doing it.
5) Get what needs to be done done -- This is the simplest
technique that is the least used. designingdigital. Take a look at what you need to do today. theseboots, elkhuntingtrips. Take a look at the item that would have the biggest positive impact on your day/life/business. taxreturnform, heavenlymattress, divorcecases. This should be your number one priority. tedwilliams. Do it first and get it done, even if other
things don't get done. laundryroommakeovers, bostonlawyer. The challenge is that this is probably something you don't want to do (otherwise it would be done
already). squirtstories, robthomasevermore, johncenafreestyles. Get creative, get focused, and set up your day and
schedule to work on your high priority tasks first, and you will get more done in less time than ever before.
There you go. interiordesigner, cavalierkingspaniel, ballysfitness. Get out there, start using your creativity, stop wasting time, and spend more time doing what's important to you and your business.

Your Access to Achievement
A few years ago I read the book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. transformerconnection, commercialdehumidifiers, buildalighthouse. I remember being very intrigued by the title and wondered "How could anyone grow rich just by thinking?
When I first began to grasp a fragment of what the book was revealing about success, I was reading it again as a result of a business I was working with. consecutivenumbers. This time I noticed the one element that was mentioned constantly throughout the book. pacesetterbank. Have you read and discovered the one secret element within the pages?
It's not bad to read a book and miss the point. gardenstool, pegperegohighchairs. But if you
read a book that is recommended by so many business-minded people and you don't get the point, you may want to read again until you get the point. hairyguy, straysteer. Each time you read, you will receive a deeper awareness of what is being offered by the book
This past year, from reading the book again, I completely
got the importance of having a mastermind team. rivierahotelcancun, crescentford, southwestairlines. It's not
good enough just to form a team. avalanchehockey, sunscreen, freegamesbejeweled. It is important to take
some steps to create the team in a way that builds a solid foundation for complete loyalty and commitment.. wrightgroup, tooltotes, floridapropertyappraiser.
How do you form a criteria for choosing team members?
It would take many pages to fully explain the dynamics of a powerful mastermind team. careermatchmaker, cupsize. Here are a few tips for you to consider in your search for teammates:
1. catgoldjewelry, cumminsdieselengine, willowtrees. Write down what you wish to achieve, yourself. bangaloresex, garyfisherbikes. This
goal may be to have people hold each other accountable or
it may be to create a new business venture to create a
specific minimum of income. chevyblazerforum, gearworm, gamblingandalcohol. It may even be to create a non-profit venture of some sort. papillonspa, historyofleukemia, pegasuscreditunion. It is important that you clearly know what your own intention is from the beginning.
2. spincity, redcomforter, explorerzebulon. Begin to attend business meetings where you get to
observe the participation of others. halloweencostumes, diedeadenough. Are they consistent?
Do they move the conversation forward? Do they have skills that may make a difference for what you wish to create? Do they express similar goals without having heard yours?
3. caliperreadvernier. Look for people who are successful in what you wish to create. apcollegeboard, humanslingshot. This will bring velocity to your success.
4. thandienewtongallery, propertyglossary. Be sure to include people who are at higher levels of success than you are. symptomsofmeasles. They will be eager to participate when they see your clear intention and your total commitment to the intention.
It's okay to go it alone. diveknife, tintedcontactlenses, alcoholabuse. You may achieve a few great
things alone. mackenzievalleypipeline, locksmithsuk. And if you can achieve a few great things
alone, imagine what you can achieve with a team of
supportive people causing you to have your dreams with more ease and velocity than you ever thought possible.
If you have no failures, redefine your goals. annafriel, barnesandnobels, polishnationalanthem. They may be
too small. sillyseason, ericgill, cheapestinternationalflights. It may take time, but the big goals are the
ones that get you up bouncing in the mornings like when you
were a child. castlerockrealtor, cardpostquilt. Remember?
